Central PA slammed with rain, floods

Trout Run is one of the hardest hit areas here in Lycoming County. Newswatch 16's Mackenzie Aucker shows us more.

TROUT RUN, Pa. — "I'd say around 9:30 this morning the water started to come across the road, it was nothing major off the start of the day, and then all of a sudden my tow trucks and all of my equipment started going underwater." said Johnathan Sarama of Trout Run.

The flooding was so bad here in Trout Run it's forced a towing company to evacuate.

"Once it came down here, the bridge over there couldn't take any more water coming around the gas station and worked it's way right down over to my business." said Sarama.

Dale Chilson is from a local trucking company. He uses Route 15 to deliver oil to a gas company.

"Normal route, just never seen it like this before I guess and kind of messing up my day, definitely."

He plans to stay in Trout Run and wait for the water to go down so he can make his delivery.

"Cause if you know we don't get their products they shut down their drilling prospects of our job." said Chilson.

Route 15 remains closed in Lycoming County.
