LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. — State police in Lycoming County are investigating a fatal shooting in Loyalsock Township near Williamsport on Saturday evening. It happened around 6 p.m. in East 3rd Street in the parking lot of several businesses.
There was one victim struck by gunfire. Lycoming County coroner Chuck Kiessling Jr. confirms a teenager died at the hospital as a result of the shooting. An autopsy will take place.
State police could only tell Newswatch 16 that this is an active shooting investigation.
Police and ambulances were in the parking lot of the Fridays restaurant and KFC restaurant. The parking lot was taped off and is closed off for the time being.
