A company in Lycoming County which manufactures homes is laying off workers for the first time in its nearly 40 years in business.
Muncy Homes Inc, announced Friday it is laying off 29 of its 250 employees. The layoffs affect positions in administration and management.
The company near Muncy blames the layoffs on the slowdown in the housing industry.
The company sad it is producing about one third of the homes it was five years ago.
