WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A Lycoming County man awaiting trial on hundreds of sex assault charges saw a few more added on Friday at a district court in Jersey Shore.
State police at Montoursville charged Timothy Darren Stroud Sr., 55, with an additional count of rape and nearly 20 more sexual offenses, court filings show.
The newly alleged assault took place in December 2013 in Mifflin Township, according to court paperwork. A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled April 9.
In February 2023, state police arrested Stroud on more than 1,000 sex offenses, including more than 100 counts of child rape. At the time, investigators said Stroud assaulted five victims between 1992 and 2018.
Two months later, state police again charged Stroud with 50 offenses stemming from alleged possession of child sexual abuse material.
A district judge sent both cases to trial following preliminary hearings last year. They remain pending in Lycoming County Court.
Stroud remains locked up without bail at the county jail.
