LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. — The Lycoming County Coroner confirms a fifteen-year-old boy is now dead after a shooting on Saturday night near Williamsport.
The shooting broke out in the parking lot of this TGI Fridays on East Third St in Loyalsock Township. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital. No arrests have been made.
An employee from a nearby restaurant, who was not comfortable speaking on camera, tells Newswatch 16 the shooting began Saturday night when a fight broke out in a crowd outside.
Another person who works nearby and could not go on camera says they were quickly made aware of the chaos and were alarmed by the scene.
Others who were working in a business across the street tell Newswatch 16 they saw people from the scene fled on foot.
The circumstances of the shooting are actively being investigated.
