SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — While the Little League World Series is still months away, there was a game on at Volunteer Stadium in South Williamsport on Friday!
It was a regular-season game for two Little League teams from Montgomery and Hughesville and served as a practice game for the umpires.
This is the umpire clinic where the volunteers who will umpire the Little League World Series work real Little League games to prepare for the big event in August. It lets them ease into their roles on the field.
As for the Little Leaguers, they were thrilled to play on the field most kids their age only dream of.
The Little League World Series is scheduled for August 14-25.
