Just a day after fatal shooting, more shots fired in Loyalsock Township

It's happened again—more shots were fired in a community in Lycoming County on Sunday night. That's after a shooting on Saturday night that killed a 15-year-old.

LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, PA — There was a deadly shooting in Loyalsock Township, near Williamsport, on Saturday night, and more shots were fired late Sunday night.  Schools in the Loyalsock Township School District are closed today over safety concerns.

Police were called to Loyalsock Drive in Loyalsock Township around 10 p.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.

Police at the scene tell Newswatch 16 that someone fired "multiple shots" at a home from the outside. No one was hit. Police did not say how the person with the gun left the area.

Police spent around four hours here, removing a bullet from a door, and looking for other evidence.

The latest gunfire was a little more than 24 hours after a 15-year-old was shot and killed.  That is according to the Lycoming County coroner.

The name of the victim has not been released.  He died at a hospital.

The shooting took place outside in a parking lot along East Third Street in Loyalsock Township.

An employee of a nearby restaurant tells us the shooting happened during a fight, with several people involved.

Others working in the area say everyone in the crowd ran away after the teenager was gunned down.

The big question now, is are the incidents related?

Police on Monday morning said they didn't know.

They are asking the public for information that leads them to a killer for Saturday's shooting.

Both incidents remain under investigation in Lycoming County.
