WILLIAMSPORT -- A jury in Lycoming County is deliberating the fate of a man accused of killing his friend in his home in Jersey Shore, then burying the body underneath the floor.
Prosecutors are seeking a first degree murder conviction.
A jury in Lycoming County has to decide was it self-defense or was it murder.
Deliberations began Tuesday afternoon in Glenn Jackson's murder trial.
Jackson was quiet walking into the Lycoming County Courthouse. There was a message on the folder he used to cover his face. It reads, "shout out block M."
Jackson has been in prison since he was accused of killing his friend Michael Krauser in 2013 and then burying the body in a crawl space in his home in Jersey Shore.
During closing arguments, the defense said Jackson is guilty of abuse of corpse and guilty of tampering with evidence. However, they argued self-defense, saying, "Jackson is an old drunk and makes bad decisions."
But the prosecution argued, "self-defense ends when he (the victim) is on the floor. There is no longer any threat."
Krauser and Jackson's family have been in court through the trial.
"It's going good. I'm just getting anxious to know what the verdict is going to be," said the victim's wife Carolyn Krauser.
"She said right in the end, we're going for first degree murder. It's not that when you kill someone in self-defense. That's not first degree murder," said Jackson's uncle John Grimes.
