WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Nichol Sites and her family have experienced loss before, but she says nothing compares to the tragedy of her brother Ronald Dailey's murder.
Sites was at work last week when her mother told her that her older brother was shot and killed.
"I can't even describe my ride home. My husband had to come pick me up. My only worry at that point was getting to my mother and figuring out what happened," Sites said.
Williamsport police say Ronald Dailey and Alisha Seese, both 37, worked for a contractor that provides security services for Lycoming Engines. It is believed the two were shot not long after they left work late Thursday night.
"If you couldn't find him at work, you could find him with his kids, with his fiancée Deborah, with his niece. His niece, he always called her Uncle Nonny's princess," Sites said.
Sites describes her brother as a huge family person, devoted to his town. He was a member of Jersey Shore's Independent Hose Company for 15 years, most recently as a lieutenant.
Newswatch 16 was there in February of 2020 when Dailey and other firefighters pulled a man out of a burning building.
"A heart of gold; he'd give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. It didn't matter who it was or what the circumstances were," Sites said.
Officials say there is a person of interest in custody at this time. Investigators have not said how this person is connected to the victims but said the person is being held on charges stemming from a protection-from-abuse order.
Sites and her family hope an arrest comes soon.
"They robbed the life from small children, family who loved him, a fiancée who loved him, friends, an entire town who loved my brother. They are a monster. The only thing I can continue to say is I will receive justice for my brother. My family will receive justice for Ronny," Sites said.
There is a fundraiser set up for Dailey's two young children and a memorial service on Thursday. Investigators ask anyone with information to contact the Williamsport Bureau of Police.
