LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. — Crews responded to a fatal crash near the Montgomery Pike Scenic Overlook just after 5 p.m. Wednesday in Lycoming County.
According to officials, an SUV with one person inside went through a fence at the overlook and fell down the mountain. The car hit a tree and later caught on fire.
When crews arrived, the victim was still in the car, which was engulfed in flames.
State Police and fire crews remain at the scene.
It is unclear if there were other occupants.
