SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Despite the heat, Camp Cadet is underway in Lycoming County.
The six-day program introduces young cadets to all aspects of law enforcement and emergency services.
"We were actually able to have the fire department yesterday. We were out to do the landing zone for the helicopters, but they actually were able to spray the hoses and keep the kids a little cool and let them have some fun as well," said Trooper Lauren Lesher, Pennsylvania State Police.
Cadets learn about water safety, firearms safety, self-defense, tactics, and crime scene investigations.
