One hurt, one locked up after shooting in Lycoming County

A man is locked up after an attempted homicide Friday night in Woodward Township.

LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. — One man is in the hospital, and another is locked up after a shooting in Lycoming County.

Troopers say Tyler Whyte, 28, and Shawn Shipton, 33, both of Williamsport, were fighting along Wither Hollow Lane in Woodward Township shortly after 10 p.m. Friday when Whyte fired several shots at Shipton.

Shipton was struck multiple times by the gunfire and was taken to a local hospital for treatment; there is no word yet on his condition.

Whyte was taken into custody on attempted homicide and related charges

He remains locked up in the Lycoming County Prison.
