Woman hospitalized after shooting in Wikes-Barre

Neighbors said the woman was shot in the leg.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A woman was taken to the hospital after she was shot Saturday overnight in Wilkes-Barre.

Police said it happened around midnight along McLean Street, where the victims' boyfriend and a suspect met to fight.

The suspect arrived with three other males, and a confrontation resulted in several shots fired in the direction of the victim and her boyfriend.

Neighbors said the woman was shot in the leg.

The suspects then ran from the scene on foot.  

An investigation is being conducted, and there's no word on the victim's condition.
