WYOMING, Pa. -- A crossing guard was hit by a car in Luzerne County Tuesday afternoon.
According to Wyoming Borough police, it happened just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Third Street in the borough.
Police say road conditions, including bright sun and wet pavement, were a factor.
The woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver did stop. Officers say the driver will likely be charged.
