LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A woman is facing charges after allegedly cashing fraudulent checks at two credit unions in Luzerne County.
According to court documents, Julia Rue, 22, of Gettysburg, opened accounts at credit unions in Pittston and Wyoming back in September.
She then deposited $9,700 using fake treasury checks before withdrawing $7,500 from the Wyoming branch account.
Rue is locked up in Luzerne County on receiving stolen property, theft by deception, forgery, and related charges.
