Trump rally Saturday in Wilkes-Barre Township

Newswatch 16's Adithya Iyer has more from outside the arena.

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Wilkes-Barre Township is preparing for a major political rally.

Former President Donald Trump will speak Saturday at Mohegan Arena.

Security for the event will be a joint operation between the Wilkes-Barre Township Police, Pennsylvania State Police and of course, the Secret Service. The state police have issued a traffic advisory starting tomorrow at 9am until 7pm specifically on interstate 81. Exit 168, which is the Highland Park exit, will be closed fully for the rally.

Although former Trump is only going to be speaking at 4pm tomorrow, there's already a line.

"I'm like 22nd in line and what people do is just get here as early as possible they go have meals or go out to hotels and their seats will be there when they come arrive early in the morning." said Ken Lane of Lancaster.

The parking lot in front of the arena will open at 9am and the doors to the event open at 12 noon.

Newswatch 16 will have team coverage of tomorrow's rally.
