WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A township in Luzerne County celebrated a milestone anniversary on Saturday.
Older than the state and the country, Wilkes-Barre Township residents were partying like it was 1774 as they celebrated the township's 250th anniversary at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.
The semiquincentennial celebration included a parade, food vendors, games and activities, live musical entertainment, and a fireworks display.
