Swoyersville's Walt Michaels, who was the New York Jets Head Coach for six seasons, passed away. He was 89.
Michaels was a five-time Pro Bowl Linebacker with the Cleveland Browns before his coaching days which included being the Defensive Coordinator for the Jets in their 16 to 7 Super Bowl win over the Colts.
