WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A group of Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania's finest competed in a dance competition Saturday in Luzerne County.
10 area celebrities paired up with professional dancers for this year's Dancing Stars of Wilkes-Barre at the F.M. Kirby Center in downtown Wilkes-Barre. The competition is based on the popular competition show Dancing with the Stars.
The competition raises money for the Kiss Theatre Company, a nonprofit that provides children an outlet through theatre, music and dance. This year dancers raised $56,416 for the cause.
Newswatch 16's Chelsea Strub emceed the event along Public Square.
This was the sixth year for Dancing Stars of Wilkes-Barre.
