WILKES-BARRE — Volunteers are celebrating improvements to Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.
Leadership Wilkes-Barre’s Team Kirby held a ribbon cutting Thursday in front of a brand new sign at the park entrance along Market Street.
The project cost $24,000 and was paid for with fundraisers, donations, and a grant from the F.M. Kirby Foundation.
Volunteers plan to continue to make improvements to the park.
Team Kirby is part of Leadership Wilkes-Barre’s Core Program’s Class of 2016.
