'Vine House' torn down in Wilkes-Barre

The city paid for the demolition of the home.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A blighted home, known as the vine house, was torn down Wednesday morning in Wilkes-Barre.

The place along Ross Street was covered in vegetation.

Crews had to use a crane to hoist a large shroud to protect the neighboring property.

The city of Wilkes-Barre paid for the demolition of the home.
