LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Folks in Luzerne County spent part of the weekend serving those who served our country.
The Hanover Township Lions Club hosted the free picnic lunch along Carey Avenue.
"Our Lions Club is very strong about our veterans. We respect them for what they did for our country, would be where we are today if it wasn't for them, so we want to give back to them what they gave us," said Bernie Mozloom, Former President of Hanover Township Lions Club.
Veterans had hot dogs or hamburgers and some tasty sides to choose from.
The free lunch wrapped up around 4 p.m. in Luzerne County.
