PLAINS TOWNSHIP --- State Police said a woman's vehicle caught fire on Route 309 in Plains Township near Wilkes-Barre, right around the on ramp to 81 north Thursday night.
She was inside the car at the time but made it out safely.
The lane re-opened around 7 p.m.
Authorities believe the woman's wheels kept spinning, causing friction, which lead to the vehicle fire in Luzerne County.
