Ukrainian Pysanky class held in Pittston

The Pittston Memorial Library held the event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

PITTSTON, Pa. — The Pittston Memorial Library held a special Ukrainian event on Saturday.

Families from Pittston and all over could visit the library and learn how to make their own Pysanky eggs, also called Ukrainian Easter eggs. 

Decorating the eggs is a special tradition for many Ukrainians this time of year and attendees were able to learn more about the history behind the art.
