Two charged after gunfire in Wilkes-Barre Township

Nicholas Gilliard and Johnny Credle are facing aggravated assault charges after police say they opened fire on each other at the Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace.

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Two men have been charged after gunfire in Luzerne County.

Officers responded to Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace Thursday night for reports of shots fired in the parking lot.

Police say Nicholas Gilliard, 25, and Johnny Credle, 48, opened fire on each other after an argument over one of the men slamming the door of a ride-share vehicle.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

Gilliard and Credle face aggravated assault and related charges. Both remain locked up in Luzerne County.
