Trick-or-treating in downtown Wilkes-Barre

The city of Wilkes-Barre hosted a trick-or-treating event on Sunday.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The city of Wilkes-Barre teamed up with the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association and the Diamond City Partnership for some early Halloween fun.

The organizations put together a trick-or-treat event along Public Square in the city's downtown on Sunday afternoon.

Superheroes, princesses and other spooky creatures filled the street to get their fill of candy.

"My favorite thing about Halloween is because it's really spooky and on Halloween you get to watch scary movies and people dress up in scary costumes," said Karisma Grant.

The city closed down South Main Street between Northampton Street and Public Square for the event.
