DALLAS, Pa. — A blown transformer briefly knocked out power overnight in Luzerne County.
The transformer near McHale Hall on the campus of Misericordia University went out around 1:45 a.m. Friday, knocking out power for about five minutes. The building was evacuated for a time. Students were allowed back in after power was restored.
Crews from UGI Electric are working at the campus on construction projects.
There was no damage to any buildings, and classes were not affected.
