Training for firefighters held at Luzerne County airport

The practice was to ensure the airport's 'Accident Response Plan' is prepared.

AVOCA, Pa. — Crews battled an airplane fire at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

The fire was part of a training session to make sure the airport's "Accident Response Plan" is ready to go, just in case.

Airports are required by the federal government to hold a live disaster exercise every three years.
