WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — This weekend's Fine Arts Fiesta will affect drivers in that part of Luzerne County.
The traffic pattern around Public Square in Wilkes-Barre will change throughout the event.
Traffic on the square will be restricted starting on the morning of Wednesday, May 15, and will end on the morning of Monday, May 20.
Here is the traffic pattern for the duration of the 2024 Fine Arts Fiesta:
- West Market Street closed off at South Franklin Street
- Public Square, West Market Street to South Main Street, closed to traffic
- From South Main Street, traffic onto Public Square will exit from the Square onto either East Market Street or North Main Street
- From East Market Street, traffic onto Public Square will exit from the Square onto North Main Street
- From North Main Street, no access around Public Square
- All traffic will be directed across Butler Lane (alley by the former Martz terminal) to South Washington Street
The Fine Arts Fiesta is the oldest all-inclusive arts festival in Pennsylvania, now in its 68th year.
The festival, held each year in May, features diverse representations of all the visual and performing arts.
