LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Three juveniles are in custody after robbing a gas station and fleeing in Hazle Township.
Police Troop N Hazleton was informed of a robbery that occurred at the Valero Gas Station on North Church Street.
Troopers located the vehicle of the suspects on Interstate 80 traveling Eastbound.
The vehicle involved was reported stolen from New York City. Troopers then attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect vehicle failed to stop and continued traveling eastbound on Interstate 80. The vehicle then exited Interstate 80 via the Blakeslee Exit, via Exit 284, traveled off the roadway, and struck the guard rail.
The three suspects attempted to flee, but troopers were able to capture them. The three juveniles, whose names will not be released, are facing criminal charges of robbery, receiving stolen property, and fleeing.
