WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A teen who was hospitalized after an alleged hit-and-run in Wilkes-Barre is now back home.
Police say Shahiyd Deen, 28, struck the teen while "drifting" his car in Kirby Park on the night of August 5.
The 13-year-old suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized for nearly a month.
According to the victim's family, the teen was released from the hospital on Tuesday and brought home.
Deen remains locked up in the Luzerne County Prison, awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday morning.
