LEHMAN TOWNSHIP -- A search was underway for a missing man in Luzerne County for most of the day Friday.
Police in Lehman Township say Adam Lutz, 22, of Nanticoke, went missing around 10:45 p.m. Thursday. Officers say Lutz was driving with a friend near Harveys Lake and Lake Silkworth.
Lutz apparently pulled over on Roberts Street and Route 29 in Lake Silkworth and went missing. The friend then called 911. Police say Lutz's vehicle was left behind and towed.
There were more than 30 crews along with boats in the water searching for Lutz.
The Lake Silkworth fire chief says the boats have been pulled from the water because of the dark. Officials are also looking through surveillance video and searching for him across the area.
"I've got agencies all the way down to Plymouth Township, up Route 11 and up into Lake Silkworth. At this point in time, we haven't found anybody or anything," said Lake Silkworth Fire Chief Jerry Walker.
Police say they are still in the early stages of their investigation.
The search was called off for the night, just after 7 p.m. Friday.
