Sprucing up Wilkes-Barre's downtown ahead of Christmas Parade

The city's Christmas tree went up Monday morning on Wilkes-Barre's Public Square.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Newswatch 16 found crews putting up a Christmas tree on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre on Monday morning.

Workers used a crane to lower the big tree into place.

The city plans to light it up on Saturday after the Christmas parade.

The parade starts at 3 p.m. in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
