BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP -- PennDOT met with township officials Wednesday in Luzerne County to discuss a request to turn Route 115 back into a four-lane highway.
Route 115 between Bear Creek and Wilkes-Barre was reduced to one lane in each direction back in 2010 following a number of deadly wrecks.
People who live in that area say it has slowed traffic too much, so township officials have asked PennDOT to review the traffic situation again.
In order for that to be done, Bear Creek Township needs to send a letter to PennDOT formally asking that a new study be done.
