Section of Turnpike to shut down Sunday in Luzerne County

The Pennsylvania Turnpike advises late-night drivers that a section of I-476 will be closed for a bridge replacement project.

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A traffic alert for drivers in Luzerne County this weekend. 

Part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be shut down this weekend so crews can replace a bridge along the Wilkes Barre (Exit 105) interchange at milepost A-105.33 in Bear Creek Township.

Beginning at midnight on Sunday, the Turnpike will be closed in both directions between the Pocono (Exit 95) and Wyoming Valley (Exit 115) exits. The work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m.
