An attorney caught up in a corruption scandal in Luzerne County will pay up to $4.75 million.
According to court documents, Robert Powell has agreed to pay the money to juveniles improperly jailed in the so-called "Kids for Cash" scandal.
Federal prosecutors accused Powell of funneling nearly $1 million to former judges Michael Conahan and Mark Ciavarella to keep a private juvenile detention center full of kids.
Those judges are doing time in federal prison and Powell has been disbarred.
