Rhythm & Wine Fundraiser benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA

The event featured wine, live music, food trucks, and more than a dozen local vendors.

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Dozens of people in Luzerne County said 'cheers' to the start of the weekend while raising money for a good cause.

The 2024 Rhythm & Wine Fundraiser was held at the Moonlite Drive-In in West Wyoming Saturday afternoon.

Proceeds from the event benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA.

Organizers say events like these are a great way to support the nonprofit.

"We are a nonprofit, one-to-one youth mentoring program, so being a nonprofit, we do have to go out, and you know, we rely on grants and fundraisers to support our staff, as well as the matches that we make because our bigs and our littles it's a voluntary program," said Jennifer Gimble, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA.

In its first three years, the Rhythm & Wine Fundraiser raised nearly $50,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA.
