WILKES-BARRE -- Newswatch 16 was there for a police officer's promotion Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre City Hall.
Shane Yelland was promoted to detective by the Wilkes-Barre Police Department.
Yelland has made hundreds of arrests as a patrol officer and a member of a special patrol unit for the city's police force since 2005.
