WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A pedestrian was hit and killed on Sunday night in Luzerne County.
Wilkes-Barre Police were called to the scene at 6:45 p.m. for a pedestrian hit on State Route 309 near Spring Street.
Officials say the driver was heading north when he struck a man who was crossing the road towards a restaurant.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
The pedestrian has yet to be identified, and the Wilkes-Barre Police Department is still investigating the incident.
