HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in Luzerne County spent their Christmas morning responding to a man armed with a shotgun.
Police were called to Oxford Street, in Hanover Township, near Wilkes-Barre.
Four police departments in the county, in addition to state police, were all called to the scene shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday.
The man was eventually taken into custody and later taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Oxford Street and the surrounding streets were shut down as police responded to the incident and reopened around 12:30 p.m.
