LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — One person is dead, and another is in the hospital after a crash in Luzerne County.
Troopers say Walter Gibbs, 81, of Williamsport, was traveling west on Route 118 in Ross Township near Sweet Valley shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday when he left the roadway for an unknown reason, striking a culvert and then a tree.
Walter was flown to an area hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
His passenger, Robert Gibbs, 83, died in the crash.
