NANTICOKE, Pa. — One person is in the hospital after a shooting in Luzerne County.
Police responded to a home along Minden Court in Nanticoke around 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
Officials say one man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to an area hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation in Luzerne County.
A neighbor, Roy Morey, told Newswatch 16 he had been watching television when he heard a noise come from outside.
Sitting on porch steps across the street, he saw a man bleeding from his chest and yelling for help and screaming he was dying.
Morey said his wife called 911 as another man put pressure on the injured man's chest.
Soon, the ambulance arrived and rushed the injured man away.
