NANTICOKE, Pa. — NEPA'rogi previously operated out of a joint facility with a kielbasi shop.
But now, it will operate a standalone shop on South Market Street in Nanticoke.
The celebration at nearby Broad Street Park included Polish music & dancing with a polka band, face painting, and plenty of food.
Owners say they think the celebration really showed how big Polish culture is in the area.
"I think something special brought everyone out here today, how the Polish culture or other cultures resonate with them from the people in their past. I think we all share that we like to celebrate it, and it's always been alive here in Nanticoke," said Lauren Gorney, NEPA'rogi co-owner.
The owners of NEPA'rogi say they are excited to finally have their own shop in Luzerne County.
