FORTY FORT, Pa. — Members of the NEPA Cricket Club and their families were invited to play cricket and join in on the fun in Luzerne County on Sunday.
There was a bounce house, games for kids, and food.
The club recently got its own cricket field in Forty Fort with the help of the county and the borough.
"This is now going to be an actual home for the Northeast Pennsylvania Cricket Club. And one of the things we have always wanted to do was invite teams from New Jersey, Philadelphia, D.C. to come play with us but nobody would want to come and play on a baseball field. So now that we have an actual home field, we are hoping we will be seeing much more cricket in the valley," said Navid Ahmed, NEPA Cricket Club.
There are more than 100 members of the NEPA Cricket Club.
