NANTICOKE, Pa. — A woman faces murder charges in Luzerne County after the death of her one-month-old child.
Police say the infant died in October of 2022 in Nanticoke while under the care of her mother, Natalee Rasmus.
An autopsy revealed the infant's cause of death was asphyxia due to mechanical compression.
Rasmus remains locked up on charges of third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and endangering the welfare of a child.
