HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A special monument was unveiled in part of Luzerne County on Saturday.
The Hanover Township Lions Club monument honors the hard work of past and present members of the club.
The monument is located at the intersection of West End Road and the San Souci Parkway in the township.
"For the residents of the township, it shows that we are active. Maybe you may not see something we do, but we are here. We do support many of the organizations in the community, and we will continue hopefully for another 79 years," said John Sipper, Hanover Township Lions Club.
The Hanover Township Lions Club is a nonprofit that works to improve the community and support those in need in this part of Luzerne County.
