HAZLETON — Hazleton police say they are investigating a shooting Saturday afternoon that sent one man to the hospital.
Police say they were called to Hazleton General Hospital around 4:30 p.m. and found a 40-year-old man from the city with a gunshot wound. He was flown to another hospital for treatment.
A police news release did not say where the shooting happened, but Newswatch 16 found police collecting evidence around a garage on North Poplar Street. Police from Hazleton were there along with officers from West Hazleton and State Police.
Hazleton police have not publicly identified the victim of Saturday’s shooting.
