LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A man has admitted that he shot and killed another man in Luzerne County.
James Miller, 33, pleaded guilty on Friday to third-degree murder for the shooting death of Brian Edwards, 37, on Jifkin Street in Nanticoke in February 2023.
Police say Miller shot and killed Edwards because Miller believed Edwards was in a relationship with Miller's girlfriend. Investigators say Miller fired five to seven shots into a pickup and struck Edwards. He then took off on a motorcycle.
He turned himself in to authorities a few days later.
Miller was sentenced after the plea on Friday to 15 to 30 years in prison.
