LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Republican Harry Haas and Democrats Joanna Bryn Smith, Patricia Krushnowski, Jimmy Sabatino, and Brittany Stephenson all took the oath of office at the courthouse in Wilkes-Barre.
"There are seven Republicans on Council and four Democrats, which is a little bit of a change from our ten Republicans super majority that we had, so it will be a little bit of a changing of the pace, but I hope that it should be a pretty relatively smooth transition," said John Lombardo, Chair of Luzerne County Council.
John Lombardo was elected the new chair of the council at Tuesday night's meeting in Luzerne County.
