WILKES-BARRE -- The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services issued another provisional license to Luzerne County Children and Youth.
The provisional license started on November10 and runs until March 16, 2017. It means it receives more frequent checks from the state.
Children and Youth agencies can be issued up to four provisional licenses in a row. If they were to receive five, then it would be turned over and run by the state.
This is the third provisional license for Luzerne County Children and Youth.
Last week, Newswatch 16 revealed that Luzerne County Children and Youth received more complaints than any other in the state. The high number of complaints made against it is partly why it has a provisional status.
